WINGS invites you to the 2016 Soaring to New Heights Conference! This year marks WINGS’ fourth national conference focused exclusively on healing for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and their loved ones.
October 7th & 8th, Johnson & Wales University
The conference covers two days (October 7th & 8th) and will provide two tracks, Clinical/Professional (10/7) and Experiential/Educational (10/8). All are welcome to attend just one or both days, as we seek to give registrants the opportunity to tailor their experience according to their individual needs and interests.
Day One (Oct. 7, 9am-5:30pm): Clinical/Professional Track Summary: More advanced workshops around trauma-informed therapy, neuroscience as it relates to trauma, and intra-familial abuse and family dynamics. Workshops are tailored to clinicians, providers, and criminal justice professionals but registration is open to all interested non clinicians as well! Check-in begins at 8am.
Day Two (Oct. 8, 9am-5:30pm): Experiential/Educational Track Summary: Workshops tailored to survivors and loved ones, including heavy emphasis on expressive arts, developing grounding skills and body awareness, survivor/loved one experiences, etc. While these workshops are tailored for healing among survivors and loved ones, we encourage the clinical community to attend and experience these processes for themselves. Check-in begins at 8am.
