Colorado Attorney General Cynthia Coffman
invites you to a special briefing and leadership conversation ~
Supporting the 9 in 10 Who Did Not Report in Childhood:
Strengthening the Response to Adult Survivors
of Childhood Sexual Abuse & Incest
1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will experience child sexual abuse before their 18th birthday, yet only 1 in 10 report their abuse in childhood. In addition to underscoring the need for vital prevention and intervention services for child victims and their families, WINGS Foundation Inc. (WINGS), and our many valued partners, call upon leaders to recognize the urgent and ongoing need for specialized information and direct services designed to support the 9 in 10, or 90%, of childhood sexual abuse victims who did not report in childhood—Adult Survivors.
Join Attorney General Cynthia Coffman and key Colorado leaders on December 1st to learn more about the One Voice Project Community Needs Assessment, aimed at identifying areas of strength and possible gaps in services, so that innovative policies, procedures and programs can be enhanced, created and/or administered in culturally competent, inclusive and collaborative ways in all regions of Colorado.
With your help, we aim to better inform and empower optimum health, wellness and productivity outcomes in every area of Adult Survivors’ lives.
