How Do I Report Sexual Abuse of a Child?

Most states have laws requiring mandatory reporters such as teachers, doctors and therapists to report sexual or physical abuse of a child. As a private citizen, you are not required to report child abuse. However, if you have information that a child is being abused, WINGS Foundation encourages you to file a report. To make a report, contact your local police department. Provide as much identifying information about the victim and perpetrator as possible. You may ask to remain anonymous.
