VolunteerWINGS utilizes more than 30 volunteers annually to run our program. Read below for current volunteer opportunities or call our office to ask what’s available. Facilitator application accessed online - (PDF) WINGS uses volunteer psychotherapists to facilitate our support groups. Each facilitator must have at least a master’s degree in a mental health discipline or be in a master’s level program and be able to commit to at least one year of group facilitation. WINGS reimburses facilitator expenses at a rate of $25 per group. Facilitators must also be willing to undergo a criminal background check. If you are a master’s level student in a mental health discipline or above and would like to volunteer as a support group facilitator, please review the Volunteer Support Group Facilitator job description. After you have reviewed the job description, please download the application form, complete, and email, fax, or mail to WINGS along with a copy of your current resume. Please call our office to discuss your interest and availability. ![]() Joining the boardThe WINGS Foundation Board of Directors is a governance and working board made up of diverse professionals and adult survivors in the communities WINGS serves. These volunteers meet monthly and determine the strategic direction and annual fundraising plan for the organization. Board members must be willing to undergo a background check and commit to a term of either two or three years serving on the board.
